Brunei is a small, independent, oil-rich country wedged between the states of Sarawak and Sabah on the Malaysian side (northeast) of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia.
Brunei is famous in Southeast Asia for its gorgeous mosques and Islamic architecture. In Bandar Seri Begawan, both the Omar Ali Saifuddien and Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosques are huge attractions. The first stands near the Brunei River and waterfront with an impressive artificial lagoon
Brunei has four districts
Brunei and Muara - Heart of the country where the capital Bandar Seri Begawan is located.
Tutong - Lies under the coverage of the virgin forest scattered small-scale plantations.
Belait - Western-most district, also the centre of the country's petroleum industry. Seria town is a small oil town.
Temburong - Isolated eastern district, separated from the rest of country by the Sarawak district of Limbang.
